“I plead not guilty,” Marinic said, appearing before a preliminary hearing judge of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina charges Marinic, former member of the Croatian Defence Council, HVO, with having participated in the wounding and murder of four Bosniak civilians during an attack on their family houses in Busovaca on April 26, 1993.

Considering the fact that he pleaded not guilty, Marinic will soon stand a trial before a three-member chamber of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The indictment against Marinic was confirmed on January 10. The indictee is defending himself while at liberty.
