“The remains will be transferred to the Commemorative Centre in Tuzla, where samples will be extracted in order to perform a DNA analysis and determine the victims’ identity. The DNA analysis will be performed in the laboratory of the International Commission for the Missing Persons, ICMP,” the Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina said in its announcement.

The exhumation was conducted as per an order by the Prosecution. The Prosecution announced that, in addition to representatives of the Institute for the Missing Persons of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the exhumation was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska, RS, a court medicine doctor, members of the Commemorative Centre from Tuzla and an investigator of the Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
