The guest on the RTRS programme was Milorad Pelemis, former commander of the Tenth Reconnaissance Squad of the Army of Republika Srpska (VRS).

Speaking about a former member of the Squad, whose identity they mentioned, journalist Sinisa Mihajlovic said: “And he was a protected witness”, and Pelemis continued: “And he, as a protected witness…”

According to the Criminal Code of Bosnia Herzegovina, a prison sentence is prescribed for the revealing or publication of the identity of a protected witness.

The Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia Herzegovina said they will check the allegations and decide whether to take measures prescribed by the law for revealing the identity of a protected witness.

During the programme, among other things, Pelemis spoke about the participation of the Tenth Reconnaissance Squad in the events in Srebrenica in July 1995.

The Court of Bosnia Herzegovina sentenced Krunoslav Malenica, editor, and Eset Muracevic, journalist of the “Bum” magazine to six months probation for revealing the identity of a protected witness.

The Court brought its verdict after Malenica and Muracevic made a plea agreement with the State Prosecution.
