Ivan Zelenika, Srecko Herceg, Edib Buljubasic, Ivan Medic and Marina Grubisic – Fejzic, former members of the Croatian Defence Forces, HOS and guards in Dretelj detention camp, are charged with having committed crimes, in collaboration with other persons, against detainees in Dretelj detention camp in the period from May to August 1992.

The indictees are charged with having committed war crimes against several Serb victims, mainly civilians, from Mostar, Ljubuski, Capljina and Stolac municipalities.

According to the State Prosecution’s charges, the civilians were held in inhumane conditions in Dretelj detention camp, while being abused, robbed, beaten up, raped, sexually abused, forced to perform hard labour and tortured in an extremely humiliating manner.

”A certain number of detainees died due to consequences of the abuse. Some of the detainees were taken in unknown direction. They have been missing since,” the indictment alleges.

All of the indictees are held in custody. The indictment has been sent to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina for confirmation.D.E.
