The Trial Chamber accepted a State Prosecution’s proposal to exclude the public during the examination of this witness in order to protect the private life of the witness.

“She is visibly upset. Her mental situation is bad…The witness was raped. She has never spoken to her family about it. I am therefore asking the Court to let her testify in a separate cabin and exclude the public,” Prosecutor Behaija Krnjic said.

The Witness Support Section previously informed the Trial Chamber that the witness was upset and that she could not stand being in the same room with the indictee.

The Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina charges Vlahovic with having killed and participated in the murder of several persons in the Grbavica, Vraca and Kovacici municipalities in 1992 and participated in the abuse of Bosniak and Croat civilians, by taking their money and other valuable possessions away.

The trial is due to continue on Monday, December 19.M.T.
