As announced by the Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina, during an exhumation human bones were found at Debelo Brdo, in Ogradice-Vis village, Vlasenica municipality, but it was still not known to whom the bones belong.

Also, during an exhumation conducted at Ilicic local cemetery, in Rakovac village, near Maglaj, one incomplete human skeletal remain was found, but the Prosecution did not have information about the identity of that person.

The State Prosecution said that the skeletal remains found in Maglaj area would be transferred to the joint grave for the keeping of skeletal remains in Odzak, where a DNA analysis would be conducted, while the remains found in Vlasenica municipality would be sent to the Commemorative Centre in Tuzla for autopsy, forensic examination and identification.

The Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina said that the exhumation in the Vlasenica area would continue in the coming days, as the exhumation was conducted in a pit, about 250 m deep, that could not be easily accessed.

The exhumations were led by State Prosecution investigators, in collaboration with INO BiH officers, the State Investigation and Protection Agency, SIPA and Ministries of Internal Affairs of Rep ublika Srpska, Zenica-Doboj Canton and Tuzla Canton.

In its public announcement of last week the Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina said that, as at the beginning of October 2011 the Prosecution had not received one single convertible mark for exhumations, adding that the dynamics of the search for the missing persons directly depended on availability of financial resources.
