According to earlier announcements by the Prosecution of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia, ICTY, the witness testified under the pseudonym of KDZ-474.

Peter Robinson, Karadzic’s legal advisor, asked the Court not to exclude the public during witness KDZ-474’s testimony and allow Karadzic additional ime for cross-examining the witness.

Trial Chamber Chairman O-Gon Kwon declined the Defence’s request.

KDZ-474 testified as the 111th Prosecution witness at the trial of Karadzic, which began in October 2009.

Karadzic, former President of Republika Srpska, is charged with genocide against more than 7,000 Bosniaks from Srebrenica, terror against civilians in Sarajevo, systematic artillery and sniper attacks and taking international personnel hostages in the period from 1992 to 1995.

Besides that, Karadzic is charged with the persecution of Bosniaks and Croats in 20 municipalities in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
