Because the trial of Srpko Pustivuk started anew before the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, statements given by protected Prosecution witnesses S3, S4 and S5 were heard for a second time.

Pustivuk is a former member of the Public Safety Station in Ilijas.

S4 and S5, a brother and sister who were 11 and 12 years old in 1992, originally testified before the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina on November 10 last year, when they said that an attack was conducted on Uzeir Selimovic’s house in Ilijas, where they were staying at the time, and they were wounded in the incident.

Witness S3’s statement was heard in a closed session, due to protection measures granted to the witness.

The State Prosecution’s indictment charges Pustivuk with having participated, in collaboration with other members of the Republika Srpska Army and police, in an attack on Gornja Bioca village, Ilijac municipality, on May 29, 1992, when one civilian was killed and three were severely wounded.

Pustivuk was arrested in July last year. He has been held in custody since then. His trial began on November 2 last year. However, due to the illness of a trial chamber member, who was replaced after a three-month break, the trial started from the beginning again.

According to the official schedule of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the trial of Pustivuk is due to continue on March 29.
