Improving State Court Media Coverage

The participants agreed to request a meeting with the Public Relations Section of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina and its Prosecution by the end of this month.
At this meeting journalists will one again call for the holding of regular press briefings and ask for photographs of all open sessions to be made available to the media.
In addition, the AIS will formally express its thanks to the PR Section of the State Court for making a telephone number available to journalists so that they can call for information outside normal working hours. This had been requested by the AIS. A proposal was made to expand AIS membership in order to include journalists reporting from the Cantonal Court in Sarajevo. A decision on this will be reached at a later date.
The participants were informed that the Regional Conference on reporting war-crimes trials, being organised by BIRN BiH, has been postponed until early September.
Among the participants at the April 14 meeting were Lea Tajic of the Konrad Adenauer, Muamer Selimbegovic of FENA, Velma Saric of IWPR, and Anisa Suceska-Vekic, Aida Alic, Merima Husejnovic, Erna Mackic, and Denis Dzidic, all of Birn BiH.
