According to testimonies at this trial, Samir Semsovic, known as Samko, and Ahmet Kokic, former members of Zulfikar Squad with the Army of Bosnia and Herzegovina, ABiH, were wounded during an ABiHs attack on Trusina village on April 16, 1993 and transported to the war hospital in Suhodol.
Witness Nusret Djelilovic, former medical technician at that hospital, was present in the admission ambulance, when the wounded were brought.
I hear car tyres squealing. We open the door, I saw Dzeko coming out of the car, saying: Samko is severely wounded, the witness recalled.
As he said, the witness got the impression that Semsovic was already dead. After having tried to resuscitate him, Dr. Aida Volic determined that he was dead.
Nihad Bojadzic was present the entire time, said witness Djelilovic, who had met the indictee prior to that event.
Bojadzic is on trial, along with Zulfikar Alispago, Mensur Memic, Dzevad Salcin, Senad Hakalovic and Nedzad Hodzic, for having conducted an attack on Trusina in which Croat civilians and soldiers were killed.
According to the charges, Bojadzic, former Deputy Commander of Zulfikar Squad, issued an order saying that there must be no survivors in Trusina. It is further alleged that he commanded the attack via communication means from a nearby hill.
Aida Volic, medical doctor, who used to work at the war hospital in Suhodol, said that she saw Nihad, Deputy Commander of Zulfikar Squad, when the wounded were brought. She explained that she found out what his last name was after the war.
I was called to come down to the admission ambulance immediately. I rushed downstairs. I saw technician Nusret and Nihad, she said. The trial is due to continue on February 3.
