After having agreed with the Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Jukic’s Defence handed over to the Court a list of about 100 pieces of material evidence, thus completing the presentation of its evidence.

At the next hearing scheduled for November 21 the Trial Chamber will examine witness Zejnil Grcic, who appeared as a Prosecution witness in July last year.

During his testimony Grcic said that, after a Croatian Defence Council, HVO, unit had entered Duge village, Prozor municipality, he saw that indictee Zeljko Jukic killed Uzeir Sabitovic, who was trying to flee.

Jukic, former member of the “Rama” Brigade of the HVO, is charged with having persecuted the Bosniak population in the period from July to the end of September 1993.

He is charged with having participated in an attack against the population, as well as murders and forced disappearances of people.
